THOUGHTS INTO WORDS

I continue to be fascinated by the human mind—and by how thoughts are translated into words and images that can be shared with others. I am especially drawn to the challenge of making abstract knowledge tangible and accessible across sectors and generations.

Helping others distill complexity into clarity and communicate their ideas effectively is central to my work. I find it particularly rewarding to collaborate with experts and thought leaders who are deeply immersed in their fields.

At the World Economic Forum, I managed two multi-stakeholder expert groups focused on innovation and education. This experience deepened my understanding of how powerful metaphors can be in bridging diverse professional languages. Metaphors offer a shared point of reference, making them a valuable tool for fostering understanding across sectors and disciplines.

Where I learned the ropes

While doing my Masters at the University of British Columbia, I immersed myself in the world of metaphors and explored the connection between words and images as a vehicle to produce meaning. As someone drawn to interdisciplinary work, I wrote my thesis on portraiture techniques in both literature and visual art, exploring how the Expressionist movement gained momentum through artists portraying each other. Building on this foundational work, I later on produced an interview series in collaboration with the Impact Hub Zurich, featuring entrepreneurs and their work around the UN Sustainable Development Goals, contributing to both community visibility and growth. I also co-produced a video series highlighting entrepreneurs in Zurich’s creative industries.

My minor in Multimedia from the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology equipped me to leverage technology and communicate fluently in digital environments. I have also worked at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media in Germany, where I developed a strong understanding of how ideas and concepts can be conveyed through interactive media.

Building on these experiences, I have worked internationally in various leadership roles managing partnerships, community building for organizations such as the Swiss Arts Council, Pro Helvetia and euforia, where I combined storytelling with community building as a Director for the Knowledge Network.

In parallel, I’ve trained and practiced as a coach, supporting individuals in structuring their thinking, clarifying complex ideas, and shaping concepts into narratives that resonate. This coaching perspective complements my communication work, especially when helping thought leaders articulate their vision and purpose.
